“Wow” Was Our Benchmark
Designing for impact at Arnold Worldwide's global headquarters
Collaboration is the lifeblood of a creative agency so when Havas/Arnold sought a design of their global headquarters, inspiring moments of exchange became a guiding focus for the project
汉威士集团/阿诺国际传播(Havas/Arnold Worldwide)是一家全球领先的广告公司,代理包括美国富达国际、杰克丹尼、美国前进保险公司等家喻户晓的品牌。汉威士集团在波士顿市中心的新总部集中了阿诺国际传播与旗下其它三个汉威士集团品牌,位于由著名建筑师丹尼尔·伯纳姆(Daniel Burnham)在1912年设计的前法林百货(Filene’s)建筑中的三个半楼层。Sasaki主导了这个11,612平方米的新办公场所的设计,并于2014年顺利完工。

真实性和创造性是汉威士集团创意工作的核心。因此,Sasaki团队运用了两个设计理念,将对原建筑的尊重和前卫的设计手法完美结合起来。首先,连接南北两侧延伸的地面,尝试将旧砖、赤陶土、钢材和玻璃、混凝土与技术进行结合。对现有材料的重新利用,如把旧栏杆改造成笔架、散热器格栅改造成灯具,再生木材改造成楼梯踏板等;以及减少对新材料的使用,都体现了业主对原真性的追求和推动可持续发展的社会使命。其次,设计创建了一个垂直循环的协作核心贯通屋顶天窗和最底层,将公共设施设置在中央楼梯的周围。

该设计帮助汉威士集团完成了由85%封闭的传统办公环境转化为开放式办公空间的计划。办公桌沿外围布置,可尽情沐浴阳光并享受窗外景色。在这里,领导和员工并肩而坐。考虑到办公空间被定位为开放式,项目团队同时还设置了一些替代性工作空间,譬如咖啡厅、两个公司酒吧、有天窗采光的阁楼、阶梯式座位区和隐蔽式工作区等,供员工随时随地进行交流。设计保证每一寸空间都焕发活力、物尽其用,甚至流线区都采用了可涂写的材质表面,可兼作会议空间。
