The Houston Energy Corridor District positions the Energy Corridor District west of Houston as a high-quality place in which to work, live, and invest
Sasaki与协作的顾问团队合作完成了休斯敦能源走廊的愿景规划方案。规划将加快能源走廊区向多维度、城市化以及世界级的居住、工作和投资为一体的城市发展。总体规划为能源走廊的未来创造生机，打造一个倡导步行和自行车通勤的多功能、便捷、生态的社区环境。愿景规划框架和具有针对性的策略旨在为未来20年的发展积蓄投资，加强能源走廊在休斯敦都会区域内的竞争力。
能源走廊是美国首屈一指的就业聚集地，包括了各大公司的总部、国际能源集团的区域办事处、能源服务公司和其它众多重要机构。占地800多公顷的能源走廊位于休斯敦市中心延10号州际公路以西24公里，区域有接壤大都市和临近包括布法罗河湾以及巴克水库等自然资源的显著优势，日益增长的就业人员和居住人口也加速了能源走廊区的发展。

The plan creates a destination environment by promoting the development of several mixed use centers
The district considered one of the nation’s premier employment centers containing the headquarters and regional offices of prominent international energy companies
能源走廊区的总体规划提出以下几项策略，与私有、公有和非盈利部门之间合作，利用现有资源持续发展，包括：
- 通过完善该区域的人行道和自行车道设施来解决区域对基础设施建设的需求，包括构建完整街道、完善连续自行车道网络、提高总体景观质量以及建立综合的交通网络等
- 通过促进包括零售、餐饮、社区设施、广场/公园以及公共集会空间等几个综合性中心的发展，创建一个可以支持就业者发展和居民生活的、吸引市内游客的、全年开展各类人文和节庆活动的理想目的地
- 建立和加强一个健全的、以世界一流的中央公园为核心的公共空间系统。该公园系统在成为该区域集休闲、艺术、公众活动为一体的公共空间系统的同时，还会建立一个强化的滨水生态系统、更为优化的人行和车行网络、更易实施的雨洪管理和利于居民和就业人员使用的多样化的公园空间。

Integration of greenspace and commercial buildings create destination environment
包括社区代表、开发商、企业主、社区组织、休斯敦市政府、哈里斯郡、市地铁局和美国陆军工程兵团等在内的相关方面积极参与了整个规划的过程。规划由Sasaki 与Toole Design Group 和James Burnett工作室合作完成，于2015年开始落实。
